The band has also wrapped up recording of its full length debut, ‘Til We See the Shore, which will release in summer 2008. Of the album lead singer Aaron Morgan says that “all of the songs on the record are about real life struggles, relationships, losses, bittersweet goodbyes, and finally having the courage to tell your childhood sweetheart you love her.”

Chris Hunan, talent booker at Cincinnati club The Underground, a long time Seabird supporter comments, “Seabird pierces the darkness of the monotony of music out there. They have a sound that washes you clean of the same old, same old.” Hunan hasn’t been the only one noticing as the band has been sought out for supporting slots for artists such as Aqualung, Lovedrug, The Myriad, Sleeping at Last, and more, as well as selling out their own headlining shows in the band’s hometown. The Myriad’s John Roger Schofield adds, “They have melodies that actually make you feel like you're swimming in a summer river out in the clear, crisp, delicious mountains, rather than diving into murky bilge… They elevate the soul.”

Chris Bergman of Pause Magazine has been an early critical advocate for the band and their music saying that “Seabird brings us back to actual, tangible music. They remind us of our need to hear it.” Bergman isn’t the only journalist impressed with the bands sound; Matt Conner of StereoSubversion.com calls the band’s music “pure ear candy.”

Seabird will be taking their “candy” on the road this spring and summer. Summer festivals already confirmed as tour stops include Creation East and West (main stage performance slot), Cornerstone Festival, Purple Door Festival and Alive Festival.

The band will be joining other local bands at Cincinnati’s 20th Century Theater on Sunday January 27th as the headliner of the benefit concert for Invisible Children. Show starts at 5pm. Tickets are available at the venue for $10 with all proceeds going to Invisible Children.
